Site Manager - Main Contractor

Our client is a well-established and fast-growing main contractor with a strong pipeline of exciting and complex construction projects throughout Scotland. Operating across a diverse range of sectors-including steel frame, industrial units, retail, leisure, office, and distilleries-they are seeking experienced and driven Site Managers to lead on-site delivery and uphold their high standards of safety, quality and programme performance.
About the Role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for day-to-day site operations, ensuring that work is delivered efficiently, safely, and to a consistently high standard. You will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and your project team to ensure successful outcomes across all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily site operations, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Drive progress on site, motivating teams to deliver on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and internal procedures.
- Coordinate site activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
- Track project milestones and report updates to senior management.
- Implement and monitor robust quality assurance processes.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and design teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor.
- Comfortable working in live environments and managing fast-track programmes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented in addressing site challenges.
- Hold valid SMSTS, Black CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
- Experience in steel frame/industrial unit construction essential.
