Job description

Pavement Engineer:
The Pavement Engineer will work closely with our Pavement Consultant to ensure investigations and design work are completed to agreed budgets and programmes. They will receive all the necessary training and support to become skilled in the most up-to date pavement design methodologies, Performance Related Specification and Quality Assurance for Road Materials and Life Cycle Analysis.

You Will:
* Support the planning, investigation and analysis of pavement data from a wide range of surveys to inform the development of design solutions.
* Undertake Pavement Visual Condition Surveys and prepare related technical reports.
* Assist in completion of both standard and analytical pavement design processes.
* Support the material specification process within national/local standards to ensure that the choice of materials is appropriate for the level of performance expected for a specific project.
* Collaborate in the development of bespoken approaches to pavement design and material specifications to provide the client with best value solutions, including recycling and other low carbon technologies.
* Ensure all work completed is to the required quality within agreed timescales and budgets.
* Work in close collaboration with team members of other disciplines to understand project objectives.
* Support the improvement of the client's Pavement Management System

We're Looking for
* Foundation Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* Working knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW) relating to the maintenance and construction of highways infrastructure and other relevant design standards.
* Working knowledge of Pavement Investigation, Assessment and Design Methodologies.
* Proficient in using AutoCad.
* Experience of working with clients, contractors and stakeholders within multidiscipline teams.
